SANY announced the UK launch of its telehandlers back in early 2024, starting with a 14 and 18-meter, with a 9-meter and 7-meter following. Fast forward to 2025, and we are seeing these telehandlers in all their red and yellow glory on sites across the country.
With each telehandler built to incorporate the most up-to-date features available on the market and meeting the latest criteria for site safety and emissions, these telehandlers are serious contenders, poised to compete with existing market leaders.
We’ll be taking a look at the 14-meter today, with the one pictured being the first telehandler we supplied to a new customer, Hire Safe Solutions.
The heart of the 14-meter is the engine, powered by a 55kw Stage V Deutz engine provides plenty of grunt to get the job done and with the added benefit of no AdBlue, stop-start technology to reduce fuel consumption and 500-hour service intervals, keeps running costs low.
With the road lights and selection of work lights, no matter the time of day, you’ll have great visibility, coupled with the low-profile bonnet and low boom, a full 360-degree view is achievable, making operation easier and, more importantly, safer.
Flexibility is important, which is why SANY offer a range of carriage attachments for their range of telehandlers. From a lightweight direct mount all the way through to a fast-fit carriage with fork positioners, there is a solution for every need, even a Manitou-type carriage, allowing you to use your existing attachments.
Telehandlers are a core part of the construction and agricultural industry; you can’t have a building site without a telehandler! So, a lot of time is spent in the cabs. SANY understood this and worked with designers and industry experts to create a cab that eliminated all the niggles from other manufacturers and introduced new features. A 10-inch touch screen with encode control gives you full access to the machine and all the readouts, allowing for total control. This also provides a fantastic display for the rear camera to be displayed. An air suspension seat provides ultimate comfort across uneven terrain. Plus a whole host of features: air con, USB connectivity, Bluetooth, sunblind, storage compartments, cupholders that are large enough to be useful, all helping to provide the operator a comfortable space to perform their best on a daily basis.
Maintenance is made simple thanks to the bonnet and engine compartment design, no more needing foot stools to try and hop in the bay, no more gymnastics to check oil levels. The bonnet is gas operated, providing full access to the engine on three sides, engine, oil and fuel filters are centrally located to allow for easy access at service intervals. All accessible from the ground.
SANY telehandlers also come with an industry-leading 3-year warranty as standard, giving any owner complete peace of mind. With a huge parts supply and mobile servicing available at Sandhill Plant, so in the unlikely event something does happen, you are back up and running quickly.
